The AVA Awards 2023 is an exciting opportunity to showcase your creativity and skills! You can submit either a still image or an animation, and the classification is designed to distinguish between individual and group projects (studios). Impress us with your talents, and become the winner of our competition! Be sure to follow our guidelines and submit your entry before the deadline. 4 Category Types

  • Still image (Individual)

    This category is dedicated to individual artists who have created their own visualizations – no group work allowed. Whether you have an existing commercial or non-commercial piece of work you’d like to submit, or you would like to create something new, this is your chance to shine! Showcase your creativity and submit your masterpiece for a chance to be recognized for your hard work and talent.

  • Still image (Studio)

    This category is dedicated to studios who have created their own visualizations in-house – individual or group work allowed. You can submit either an existing project or take the challenge to create a new image with your team for the purpose of the competition. Share your creative vision and submit your best work for a chance to be rewarded for your talents and skills!

  • Animation (Individual)

    This category is dedicated to individual artists who have created their own animations – no group work allowed. Whether you have an existing commercial or non-commercial piece of work you’d like to submit, or you would like to create something from scratch, this is an opportunity to show us what you can do! So don’t hesitate, submit your project now and present us with your best video!

  • Animation (Studio)

    This category is dedicated to studios who have created their own animations in-house – individual or group work allowed. You can submit either an existing project or take the challenge to create a new image with your team for the purpose of the competition. Show off your creativity and submit your best videos for a chance to be rewarded for your talents and skills!

General rules

What are the rules for the contest?

The AVA Awards 2023 has a set of rules that participants need to follow when submitting the content. To get all the details about the rules, you can check out the Terms and Conditions of the AVA Awards 2023. Don’t forget to read them in addition to the general rules we provided.

  • 1. Portray architecture

    The competition requires that submitted visualizations or animations portray architectural elements.

  • 2. No specific topic

    The competition has no prescribed theme or topic (it relates to all the categories).

  • 3. Five works in a category

    Participants may submit only five pieces of content for one category (extra submissions will be disqualified).

  • 4. Existing or new work

    You can choose to submit something you’ve already made or create something new just for the contest.

  • 5. Free of charge

    The AVA Awards 2023 is voluntary and does not require participants to pay any registration fees.

  • 6. Criteria

    The criteria to be considered will include ingenuity, technical skills, aesthetics, realism, and overall impact.

    Co-Founder & Manager – The Craft Architectural & Interior Design Visualization
    Heading The Craft and founder of Polytown Media, Ronen Bekerman is a leading figure in the architectural visualization industry with over 20 years of experience. As the founder of the widely recognized ArchVIZ blog (ronenbekerman.com), he has made significant contributions to the field.

  • Andrei Dolnikov

    Founder & CEO of Binyan
    A leading figure in the field of Architectural Digital Content Creation. Holding degrees in Interior Architecture, Design, Applied Psychology as well as being an ordained Rabbi, he has championed the growing field of visioning the future for over 15 years.

  • Logan Foster

    Product Owner at Autodesk – Modeling
    Logan is a Product Owner for Autodesk (3ds Max and Maya) and is a part of the product management team that defines the direction of modeling tools and features within the software. Prior to joining Autodesk, Logan was involved in the production of 3d and 2D art and animation for numerous digital media and game projects on the PC, Console, Mobile, and web; and brought his passion for art production and mentorship into a role of Lead Instructor at a private post-secondary college instructing and mentoring students on 3D modeling and animation production.

  • Michał Horba

    Senior 3d artist at Evermotion
    Degree in architecture and urban planning mixed with a passion for 3D.  Over ten years of experience as a 3D generalist shows that my main interests are architecture illustrations and material making. I am responsible for some of Evermotion’s crazy scenes as well. It is an honor for me to be here, have fun!

    Agnieszka’s background in architecture has taught her the importance of visualization in design. She has honed her skills to create captivating images, which she shares through her YouTube channel and learning platform. Her technical and artistic expertise helps fellow artists learn how to compete in the creative market.

    Founder of VWArtclub
    The instigator of VWArtclub was born in Athens, in 1979. He studied furniture design and decoration and began his occupation with 3D art in 2002. Not a moment goes by without him thinking of a beautiful image as 3D Art is a way of living.

  • Ivan Kozaliev

    CG Specialist at Chaos
    Ivan developed a solid background in architecture, participating in various building design projects up to high-rise buildings and skyscrapers. After years in architecture, his passion for 3D prevailed and he joined Chaos where he made visualization his career of choice.

  • Fabio Palvelli

    Art Director at Elephant Skin
    Co-Founder of the D2Conference in Vienna
    Fabio Palvelli is an Italian designer and art director currently working at Elephant Skin.

  • Paweł Podwojewski

    Owner of Motiv Studio
    Pawel founded Motiv in 2008 as a one-person company. Over the years his work attracted clients from around the globe. He is known for art direction and his bamboo designs.

  • Yes, it is allowed to use pre-made models and assets in the submissions that will be evaluated.

  • Yes, there are no exclusivity requirements for the competition entries.

  • All entries to the competition will be reviewed first, and only those meeting the high-quality standards will be selected for publication on the Arch Viz Artist website. The selected works will be published on an ongoing basis on the platform.
